Who does Jesus claim to be? A study of the ‘I am’ sayings in John’s Gospel
What should we do with the claims of Jesus in John’s Gospel? The ‘I am’ sayings in John’s Gospel make bold claims about Jesus’ role in history and his identity. They have formed the basis for centuries of Christian devotion and doctrine, but what does Jesus actually claim and can we trust these claims that seem so different from the other Gospels? In this study day, we will try to get to grips with some of these questions and reflect on their significance for our discipleship today.
