Grace Kirby

Where did you grow up - I grew up in south Bristol with my parents, older brother and younger sister and we went to Counterslip Baptist Church.

What's a cool fact about you (any skills/ hobbies/ flown around the world/skydived haha) - I am an actress and author, I love writing poetry. I also enjoy producing art and have had one of my canvases hung up in the Hill House Christian centre for roughly 18 years, and a miniature canvas of the same picture that I did for a Reverend friend of mine who commissioned it for his office. The painting is of a stormy sea and a boat in the middle, with the phrase "Let go, Let God". I have been to South Africa where I went on a safari and to the top of table mountain, all for free. I have also snorkelled around the great barrier reef in Australia and went to see a spectacular ballet in the Sydney Opera House with my sister.

What church do you go to? I currently go to, and am secretary for a two year old Baptist church plant called Open House Community Church; I was previously at Woodlands for 8 years.

What's your previous role and what is your new role? My previous role was the Operations and Events Manager at the BISC (The Bristol international student centre) which was a small christian charity that ran events (including alpha), trips around the country, weekly meals and rooms to rent for international students; with the heart to provide a 'home away from home'.
