Jesus commanded us to make disciples

There is a growing recognition of the need to make disciples to live effectively as witnesses to Jesus in our contemporary world. For example this can be seen through the agenda of LICC and in the Setting God’s People Free report from the Church of England.

However, there is a gap between the effective introductory tools such as Alpha, & Christianity Explored and those who seek systematic resources to grow in their Christian faith.

HOW GOLD PROJECT FILLS THAT GAP

PERSONAL STUDY - ‘DISCOVER THE TREASURE’

We have strategically combined introductory bible courses from SEAN with our own GOLD Project courses. The SEAN courses at introductory and intermediate level have proven to form disciples in effective mission and church growth, even in non-book cultures. The levels beyond this provide an in depth opportunity to study the Bible and apply it to our daily lives.

GROUP LEARNING - ‘ENCOUNTER GOD’

We are therefore committed to group based discipleship. This encourages individuals to learn the word of God in a group setting facilitated by a GOLD leader. Here they can collectively reflect on their learning.

APPLICATION - ‘BE SHAPED BY THE MESSAGE’

Our courses are designed to give each individual regular opportunities to apply their learning to their every day lives.

The message of the Bible transforms us (para.) Rom 12:2
