309 Introduction To Christian Ethics

Level 3 Course

The course aims to develop a simple threefold method for making ethical decisions.  This method is applied to a variety of ethical issues with examples contemporary ethical dilemmas, and brief explanations of the issues involved and the most important contrasting viewpoints.

You are encouraged to assess important biblical, scientific, sociological information relevant to deciding specific ethical issues and to analyse ethical issues with respect to principles, motives and results.  We hope that by the end of this course you will also be able to examine your own presuppositions, and have an appreciation of, and therefore appropriate respect for, viewpoints different from your own.

The main aim of the course is that you will be able to apply your learning to important ethical issues which we encounter in mission and ministry today.

This is a 10 Block course
